Through active coordination of internal OSBF opinion forming, as well as by defending common interests to third parties, other associations and political parties, the status of open source software will improve. Typical fields of work include the enhancement of political framework conditions for the utilization of open source software, legal aspects of patents and licenses, public procurements and the promotion of open source software application in the middle class. OSBF plans to intensify the dialog with the ministries and parties in Berlin and Brussels.
